libavcodec & mplayer

Unread postby tbcpp » Fri Nov 10, 2006 7:47 am

I noticed on the notes about mplayer that the maintainer has done some optimizations for mips/sgi in libavcodec. Have these been ported back into the libavcodec nekoware package? Or is the modified code just in the mplayer tree?

It's almost certainlty the nekochan crew's (schleusel, dexter1, vegac, lewis, etc.) code that was pushed back into the mplayer (only) base.

dexters libavcodec optimzations (http://forums.nekochan.net/viewtopic.php?t=2976) are included in both neko_mplayer and neko_ffmpeg (of which libavcodec is part of).

Both packages also contain those changes as separate patches.
