Unfortunately, several of the articles are behind a paywall, but perhaps some of you will be interested in this:

Nature special issue: Turing at 100 - http://www.nature.com/news/specials/turing/index.html

(If you are at a university, chances are that all of the links will "just work," as long as you are accessing them from the university network.)

Actually, you can get a quite useful collection of his more important papers [including On computable numbers[...] and his Ph.D. dissertation] for FREE from http://www.4shared.com/office/N1vuRyt-/ ... _turi.html [.pdf, readable even on my iPad]. Also, <www.turing.org.uk>, <www.AlanTuring.net> or <www.turingarchive.org> have more papers than you'd probably want to know about :-)

OT: Besides having Turing as a major character, it's also the only fiction I know of which lists an executable Perl script.

My god, how childish your comment is. Whether Turing was gay or not has nothing to do with the importance of his work at all. His sexual orientation was his own and only his own. But since you are obviously rather straight, you could have probably written better papers,
right?

Maybe a cultural thing, but I assumed that was a backhanded comment about Perl...

Newt Gingrich called himself "cheerful" when prompted to describe himself in one word. That's a synonym for "gay" according to the Random House College Thesaurus.
