Is there any software for irix or linux for the simulation of conic curves?

Simulation ? you can probably create the real thing in Mathematica or maybe even gnuplot ? Grace can (it says in the manual) but I've never tried. Been meaning to make a tardist of that ... if you have a real need I could maybe be persuaded to get off my fat ass ....

Maxima is nice and usable on IRIX.

This has been mentioned already, but I have mathematica 5 on Irix. I almost prefer it over the modern versions
