Exactly - therefore all discussions about the end of the WORLD on a particular day are simply futile. :-) :-) :-)

Its old joke ... Australia is GMT +11 and Alaska and Hawaii are like GMT - 8 or so ..
Its about 20 hours difference in some points of the world and obviously 24 hours at the date line.

I meant it in jest.

And that's why this perfect circle is closing itself, while is bringing us exactly to my humble first post about this subject... :)

In this way future readers can read it over and over into a closed loop... eternally... oh well...

PEACE! ;)

Hey there, Oskar!

I guess every age had to have their own Matt Groening, and these mayan guy exceed for his talent... but The Codex Dresdensis looks a bit more disordered than any average good comic... :)

Oh well, I guess I'm not a believer at all for this kind of things... anyway, I enjoy a lot reading SciFi.

NOW, talking a bit more seriously: don't get me wrong; I'm not trying to make fun from Ancient Mayans, Mayan People, Originary Peoples, or anything like that... I'm just trying to remark this funny paradox... I mean: -it seems that the modern scientists are seeing more info into The Codex Dresdensis than the actual Mayan People itself... and I really think it is a funny case of arrogance (from modern science) that should not be overlooked at all.

I think it is so nasty these constant attempt (from media and some institutions) to fake theories parting from all kind of ancient events, just to convey their own interests... oh well...

Hi there, Diego!
GeneratriX wrote:The Codex Dresdensis looks a bit more disordered than any average good comic... :)
So do Egyptian hieroglyphic papyri or Sumerian cuneiforms :-) Still, the decipherment of Mayan pictograms was quite some achievement.
GeneratriX wrote:Oh well, I guess I'm not a believer at all for this kind of things...
You don't have to believe in that - fact is, the Dresden Codex is indeed a ritual-astronomical work of utmost importance
GeneratriX wrote:I mean: -it seems that the modern scientists are seeing more info into The Codex Dresdensis than the actual Mayan People itself...
A small correction - *modern scientists* don't see more info in the codex than the old Mayans did; only them present-day esoteric *interpreters* do.
