Just picked up a PowerBook G4

Unread postby IndyFred » Fri May 06, 2011 2:45 pm

It has 10.4.11 and is the titanium model 15" screen. Can I use OSX to remote into my Fuel? I am very new to Apple machines and thought this would be a nice machine to learn with.

Thanks!

Worth noting, you can run 10.5 pretty easily on that if you find you need newer software. I have 10.5 sever running on a 1.25 g4 eMac with 2gb of ram, its a capable web browser to say the least. :)
Stuff.

Yeah, my 867MHz G4 TiBook running 10.5.x makes a fine 15" netbook. :)

The X11 that ships with 10.4 is great for connecting to IRIX - the servers shipping with recent Linuxes and Solarises often give me problems with dropped connections and/or odd artifacts, but Apples X11 for 10.4 is based on the old XFree86 and works fine.
Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!
