Hmm.. check your desktop color depth. You can set it to use true color.
This resolved the issue for me before I upgraded to a V12.

This was on a Sony 21 inch CRT at 1280x1024_96Hz, otherwise use a LCD screen that can display 50hz

Similarly all my Maya display weirdness issues went away when I scrapped my V6 and put in a V12. If you have the means I highly recommend it, it is so choice... :mrgreen:
