A/W licenser

Unread postby erwan01 » Tue Dec 23, 2008 11:59 am

Hi,

I'm trying to install an old version of Alias/StutioTools (pre v9.0). The software came with license keys.
It seems that the Licenser system used is not Flexlm but is custom to A/W. Indeed I haven't been able to find the "sgiawd" (A/W daemon) in the /usr/aw/COM2.0/etc directory.

Does someone know where the license daemon is and how it is to be operated (what's its name, where do we have to put the license file...)?

Thanks

Not sure about the daemon, but on my O2 the PowerAnimator license keys are stored in /var/flexlm/aw.dat.

What ajerimez said. The license manager is just an A/W rebranded flexlm daemon. It should work in you put the license file in /var/flexlm/aw.dat.
