Jacquard Graphics

Unread postby Timberoz » Tue Jun 21, 2005 4:20 am

Hello I have in my hands a Jacquard Graphics JHJ76 rack unit which I believe was used for live chroma keying. Are there any Nekochan users that could tell me more about this unit & what it actually does? Did It require host software to run the hardware interface? If so did it run on an O2 or Octane?

Any information would be greatly appreciated on this beast.

Ha if you find anything let us know. I've got one sitting in my closet that I don't know what to do with. I grabbed it cuz it was purple and said silicon graphics :) I've got a photocopy of the manual somewhere.

I recall something about Antero (spelling?) Ascent keying software... never did find much mention of it though.

IIRC it was tied to Onyx stations - theres a mention in a NAB doc from ~ 95 ? But there isnt any data on these. I'd love to get a hold of that manual, Tom...

Ummm I wish you'd said that about a month ago. I just moved. The papers (its just a copy of the manual) aren't with the JG box which is not a good sign. I'll keep hunting for them and I guess we could try asking Ensemble Designs (ensembledesigns.com) for an electronic copy.

I'd like some more info on their Carbon product for the O2. Anybody have one? You need a serial number to view the manual on their site.

Found the manual over the weekend. Scanned it and saved a copy as an MS Word doc (sorry no acrobat pro to make a pdf).
