Do you like Themes under Mac OS X?

Unread postby themacosxflies » Sat Apr 10, 2004 2:48 pm

To be honest I have no theme under Mac OS X. Would be nice to have a Pro theme from Apple, (that used with e.g. the Apple Pro video apps). I know there are a Pro Theme out there, but you need 'to be' Apple to change the scroll bars and buttons dimensions that offers a pro look, letting you think you have actually a great display res.

If you do not use themes, how would be one that you really liked?, plain, elegant and simple?

Sure, btw, great looking avatar !

I like a theme named 'Good Grey', follows a .gif, I dislike the black variation, I like the colored variation.

I'm pretty happy with the default OS X theme, although I would like to see somthing other then brushed metal for the finder. The finder dosen't "feel" like part of the system anymore with the BM interface and contrasts with the rest of the aqua theme to much for my tastes. :)
configure complete, now type 'make' and pray.

OK, so I got some themes to give ShapeShifter a try, as I had said, 'Good Grey' looks very nice, and some apps look even better with it, e.g. Mail.app.

I find that Netscape (I think the same goes to Mozilla) under the 'Smoke' theme (note, this is a Netscape / Mozilla theme, not a Mac OS theme) seems fully integrated with 'Good Grey', very very pleasant.
