hello,

when i start the machine on serial console i got:

E20A
E213
E20B
E214
E3E1
E304
E305
E306
E307
E314
E315
E316
E218
E297
and here it hangs

I tried with removing the battery, but the E297 error still appears.
the manual from IBM said - "Start firmware softload path execution." , and nothing more.
When it hangs on that error, the floppy drive start spinning and probably waiting for some kind of firmware to be inserted on diskette.
I performed some checks, remove all parts, cards etc and all devices seems to be OK.

Before some time I open a new topic in http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm? ... 64&page=17 .
I contacted IBM Bulgaria, and they told on phone that they will probably be able to fix it, but have to go with the machine in their office in Sofia, and that they take 100$ per hour( which is too much for me )

If someone could help I will appreciate that.

I would look for the appropriate firmware and see if you can put it on diskette. Perhaps the firmware checksum failed so it's defaulting to demanding a reload.
