That was on osnews as well.

I think what Ashley forgets to mention, or ignores, is that at the time G5s were out, Intel was on NetBurst, so the G5s were not worse villains than Intel machines at that time.
My job at the time had a Dual Netburst Xeon workstation sitting somewhere, and the thing was so loud the poor operator had to wear earplugs the whole day.

But yes, interesting read in the end.
