Ah, thanks for that dexter. I'm waiting to see if MS will give us free azure installs to use, if not, I'll use one of my hosting providers that has always been reliable for hosting the repo. Assuming all goes well I'lll end up using one of these web-view Mercurials.

I will not be available over the next few days to discuss the project.

Update: My health vacation is over for the time being. I will be attempting to tackle the regressions with the build over the next week or so. If necessary, I'll re-add kerberos5's build files back into base. I really hate make right now. Definitely will be a priority to switch to another build system.

I'll see if I can get the build log off the virtual machine.

Build log detailing the failure because of Kerberos is up on Pastebin - see IRC channel.

Been ill but I updated the source to 11-STABLE, I will be doing periodical updates against 11-STABLE from FreeBSD. This is to allow the use of libressl patches more easily.

Have you thought about contacting and perhpas working on DragonFly directly? They might be receptive to many of your goals.

An updated pf would be welcomed back into FreeBSD if you are successful. I will do the legwork on the freebsd.org side if you get it working on your tree.

And on a serious note, that is a lot of work.. be sure to take care of yourself physically and mentally though the adventure.

Matt Dillon and co have no interest in supporting POWER64 or ARM64 at this time and have made that abundantly clear. I lack the skills to port to these architectures myself and I don't want to waste my coding ability on simply AMD64 with the problems the PSP and ME for AMD and Intel CPUs that are inserting backdoors. Being unconcerned about other architectures is one of the things that DFBSD will regret.

But of course. The main problems I have with FreeBSD at the minute are several changes that are being made and the leadership of the project, along with the cancer in the community:

They want pkg to handle base (a retarded idea) I plan to maintain freebsd-update or possibly create a new tool to fetch and install the necessary tarballs.

Tell me about it. The first time I attempted to remove Heimdall/krb5 was a nightmare. There's so much bad code in FreeBSD

I have been out of town and on my travel laptop which doesn't have IRC installed nor my SSH keys so that's why I'm not online for those wondering.

FoxBSD is still under slow development. New job plus a bunch of hobbies and some blocking upstream issues (I'm probably going to either fork 11.1 or Hardened BSD 11 due to problems with 11.0-RELEASE and 11-STABLE I keep encountering are the reason for serious delays.

Updates:

The project is tabled for now.

I am migrating hosts and my IRC channel is thus not the best way to reach me right now. Email or PM on nekochan is better.

Me and Micrex22 were wondering where you went. Hopefully the FoxBSD resumes soon. I'm getting antsy. Lol.

I've got a 100 different things I'm working on right now, so I'm not able to focus on the project for the time being. It's definitely something I want to pick up again at a later date.

Understandable, but a shame. I wanted to see Kronos with IRENKA running on it for the full "Nekochan Operating System".
