Hello, I recently inquired to why Racer was cancelled for SGI, and this was the reply I got.
See
http://www.racer.nl/faq.htm#q51No chance of it being restarted, unless SGI somehow manages to get back
into a lowend market. It just won't run at any rate anymore on my SGI
O2, so it's not worth the effort. The O2's are just too slow, and I
don't have bigger SGI's. It's too niche, the SGI market, and they seem
to rapidly pull back to even more niche markets than they were in
before.
I could provide the source perhaps to someone who would do the SGI
compile. The Linux Racer source is on my website, so that's the best I
can do. Those makefiles were directly derived (originally) from my SGI
O2, so it shouldn't be much trouble reverting it back to do SGI
compiles, but I can't really put much time in it (you don't wanna know
how much requests to do this & that I get daily

).
Cheers,
Ruud
Anyway, I'm posting this message due to what the reply was. He apparently is willing to provide source to one person that's willing to continue the SGI port. If any of you would be interested, please email me your information so I can pass it along to Ruud. Thank you all for your time.
