I grabbed glaim and installed, but have yet to test it out. I was looking around for other stuff and ran into a site that had links to other graphical audio editing applications for *nix, I know that most of them are strictly for x86 *nix, but not all of them were.

I would like to hear what you guys have to say about them, if you think they would be worth trying to get to work out under IRIX and maybe see if the MIPSPro C would make ant improvements on the compiles and such.

Here is a list of some of the stuff I found.

http://rezound.sourceforge.net/
http://hydrogen.sourceforge.net/site.php?sitelang=en
http://www.pawfal.org/Software/SSM/
http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/

Here is where I got the links from. There are a bunch more, but only listed a few.

Anyone else interested in giving a couple of the above apps a shot at compiling?

I also ran into an issue with glame wanting to be recompiled with libmad when I tried to import an MP3. It left me kinda bummed.

I'll take another look at the glame recompile tomarrow. While many of the above look interesting...I would like to (with my limited free time) get glame at 100% before moving on mainly because I am interested in its effects loop designer.

The issues with it right now are:

1) this missing library
2) IRIX audio out disabled
3) crashing under VPro graphics
