I wrote a 2D Autocad knock off under IRIX at one time. I need to clean it up and put it on sourceforge.

Here's a screenshot:

modules.php?set_albumName=album36&id=xcad&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php

WOW! Very nice, squeen!
So, does this XCAD input the GD&T information? FCS/FCF and all?

No offense taken -- my AutoCAD kheyday (all 2D) was circa 1992-1995 and the last version I ever used was r13. I just missed it when I left Windows for IRIX, and had no luck location an IRIX r13.

I was a blast to write and my first OpenGL app. Lot's of errors. Someday I'll fix it up and release---now that I'm a bit more savvy in C, Motif and OpenGL.

The GD&T info was all done manually, unfortunately (just like I used to do it in r13).

If a commercial grade Autocad-alike would be useful on Irix, this'd be the way to go :

http://www.intellicad.org/default-net6.asp

kind of a big chunk of change for a single user tho.

edit :

hmm. Now THIS looks like something worth investigating. Uses fltk even :) Used to be Euclid ?

There once _was_ real AutoCAD on IRIX, I got some of it installed - but no chance to license it - pure abandonware.
Not that I really wanted it - some customer on AutoCAD/PC requested work on .dwg drawings some time ago, hence the try.

There are adult 3D CAD systems on IRIX (not for free, though) like Pro/ENGINEER or IDEAS, y´know.

IPSEC VPN client that supports L2TP

Is it possible to find one for linux or some other variation and port it or not?

I am now only running IRIX at home and if I want to be able to work from home without spending $450 on a Netscreen VPN firewall, I need a good client.

A port of Portable.Net to run on Irix.
It would enable my to use c# on my O2.

Cheers,

I'd love to see a gEDA package, as well as a SPICE package.

Also, I second and third the AutoCAD-like package everyone wants; qcad is pretty good, but I don't know if it is IRIX-ready, and since I lack a set of MIPSpro compilers I can't help out with that.
