I didn't see this mentioned anywhere on nekoware...

Latest version of ScummVM 2.0 was built by the team around 12/2017:

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've seen a release page for a currently developed project under which project-supplied binaries are available for IRIX:

That should run, I'm not a fan of the KQ series though, but many love 'em.

Quest for Glory 1 and 2 are also very good, some of my favourites.

Will be on my O2 when it gets going, for sure!

I highly recommend "Sam & Max: Hit the Road". Probably my favorite point-and-click adventure of all time.

Eye of the Beholder works well if you like AD&D RPGs.
Myst works too.

I've played most of the Sierra games. Space Quest was my fave series. I still break them out once a year and play through at least one of them. Space Quest 3 is wonderful. Still the type text quest game right before point and click. Kings Quest was something I had only played part 5 and 6. until this last year I finally played 1,2,3 and have only beat 1 so far.

BUT.. I did so because there is a company that redid them in the style of 5 and 6.

http://www.agdinteractive.com/games/games.html

Which is kind of blasphemy in my generation. Playing the type text versions is more old school.
BUT, I had to see the new VGA artwork they made.
Realizing that it would have taken me forever or never to figure out Kings Quest 1.
Some of the puzzles are like "really? someone figured this out without a cheat?".

ScummVM always makes me think of Lucasfilm games of course since that was the platform it was developed for I if I remember correctly.

All starting with Maniac Mansion, which I just replayed through in February this year. Had been since the late 80s early 90s since last I played it.
I followed it up, back in the 80s, with Zak McCracken and the Alien Mindbenders. Amazing and challenging game, haven't replayed it yet but I will soon. I didn't use cheats or hints for either. Probably took me a better part of 6 months to finish Zak. I'd play it about an hour or two every night before bed on weekdays and use sunday for a good four hour'ish sessions.

Indiana Jones Atlantis and Crusades were great.
Loom is still one of my all time faves for just general aesthetic, story, and overall design ethic.
I've played through a few of the Monkey Island games and for the life of me can not remember much about them. If I went back it'd probably be like I was playing for the first time again.

Day of the Tentacle is obligatory of course. The maniac mansion sequel is still to this very day hard to beat in terms of puzzle quality, storyline, art direction, and very high design ethic. My 300mhz o2 had a version of scumm on it with Day of the Tentacle and I thought to myself... not even Irix could escape a port of this little gem.
