Thanks a lot. I use MuPDF at work on the Windows box all the time. It's one of those utilities that gets its core feature 100% right. Glad to see this on Irix, too.

Thanks! This is working great on my Octane. Kind of astonished how much faster it is than xpdf. I wonder what the latter is doing to be so sloooow.

*chuckle* - I did mention in the other MuPDF thread that I thought it was OMG!-levels-of-faster faster than xpdf :)

I'm not sure xpdf is doing anything 'wrong' per se. From what I understand MuPDF started from scratch but with much experience of PostScript/PDF from their Ghostscript project and they were looking to be small and fast from the get go. Not sure xpdf was ever in the business of being small and fast, it just wanted to render PDF on Unix.

Many thanks! It's so fast (even on my 250 MHz R10k O2)!

It crashed just on one of my PDFs - but the XPdf was unable to open this particular PDF at all...
