Instead of doing a fresh install I really want to see why on earth someone would buy such a basic Indigo (R3k, 32mb ram, LG1, two hard drives).
I'm currently running a serial console through a regular mac serial cable to a Duo 2300c with Zterm.

Woow. This thing is totally bungled up.
I'm not sure if I'm facing one single and massivly bad problem or if I'm suffering two problems (bungled serial port/console settings and an unhealthy set of original disks)
EDIT: Garbage console was a bad serial cableAny ideas? I won't be able to get access to a CD drive to boot a 5.3 disc for a few days.
