What does sgi.com use?

Unread postby OSWebman » Mon Apr 12, 2004 9:50 pm

Anyone know what runs the sgi sites? I remember a while back reading a lone challenge powered it, but that page was dated 1997. I suspect an Origin 2100, any thoughts?
Thanks,
Eugene Redko

Not sure of the machine, but must be something running Irix.
They're still using Netscape Enterprise 3.6 SP3 as their Web server.

Just as well that script-kiddies and the like don't rate them as high-profile enough to target them...

Nik.

it is not the out of the box version of course. it is also still the best web server for irix hands down especially when scaling across multiple cpus.

the netscape 4 variant that runs on irix is the buggy, rootable shitheap of the bunch and is why you dont see that one still around :)
The preceding thoughts were brought to you by Jack Daniels.

Is it really a better choice than Zeus?
