Ordered stickers for SiliconGraphics and IRIS Indigo logos. Should arrive February 3rd. Going to do some more print tests to see how good I can get it, I think I sorted out my bed adhesion issues. Look forward to pics in early february!

They'll be for sale shortly, if you like them that much. They take an ODROID-XU4 or Raspberry Pi B+/2/3 (not recommended due to USB ports in inaccessible locations, but supported if you want to use it as a server with the onboard wifi or just to drive HDMI with no USB input devices). I also want to do some tests with my current 3D printer to make sure it can make them as well as the one I borrowed could. It's meant to be a better machine, but I have found it to be finicky (either that or I suck at setting it up!).

Are you going to do any more models?

I am planning a Mini Crimson next. I don't know much about the Paralella, but would look into it.

Seconded! Looks awesome with the stickers.

Personally, I'd like an Indigo2 one that will take a Raspberry Pi (the pizza box type cases should be more feasible for this, even if it would look weird with cables poking out the sides). My current media centre machine is a Raspberry Pi and I think it'd look epic to have a mini Indigo2 sitting under my TV :)

Not My thing, but IP is not the only issues, trademarks using the regustered TM of SGI as well as the 'Indigio 2' Logo, there may be some legal work around. For example sell the look alike of Apple as long as it doesnt get assoicated with a computet is fine. Put Apple with anything todo with computers, music players or phones and Your life turns very bad

To be safe i would sell the extererier as a seperate item, then anything regarding a working computer - i believe Your safe since its a minuture under artistist use/license

If You sell a SBC that happens to fit in it, well it happens to fit it. Indigio already is in common use, and was before the trademark involving 'Indigo (2)' and computers, unless not enforced Trade Marks & Copyright dont have a sunset clause like copyrights

The SGI logo is more of an issue, its in active use and i dont think You can two or three D print without a license - but who knows SGI may give You limited specific rights cause they like it for no money or almost no money and maybe even want to source You for something like keychain models

I think a $500 dollar hour with a lawyer is far better, then the smallish, but real issue of them seeking large damages

Btw Your product is cool !!!!! - maybe even a mini bluetooth keychain with just LiPo, cheao SBC with Bluetooth as a smallish 'keychain workstation´ with SD&Bluetooth for storage, and a low performance http server with a retro page, and a link to storage over BT/Wifi since its the same SBC on very low size&power 'less then SBC´s´ just embedded with SD, USB-Mini for IO and charging +BT&Wifi IO that will spend almost all of its time sleeping with ultra lower power on the LiPo !!!!!!

I would feel like the SGI Gods would Smite Me if it was a real usable SBC in the same mile^2 of SGI Iron though

Sorry I meant Trademarks / Copyrights dont expire unless blatently unenforced (like My proof reading at this hour) like patents or IP

I don't plan to include the SBC. Too expensive to ship to me and then to the buyer anyway, they can ship it to themselves and save a boatload. It's just a standard ODROID XU4, so anyone can buy one.

Question/comment:

Could you perhaps get rid of the ridges by sanding and then painting the exterior? More work involved, but for a smooth surface, it doesn't seem too bad.

Or you could do this: http://hackaday.com/2013/02/26/giving-3 ... th-finish/

Acetone only works with ABS, but I think he's using PLA. ABS is a PITA because it warps and tears due to stress in the material.

First I want to get the printer working again! No bed adhesion, no matter how much I level it. Looking into PEI build plates.

This is a little ghetto, but I've successfully used Pritt glue sticks
