Got an Indigo2 Maximum Impact R10000 while shopping for an O2

Unread postby Geoman » Sat Aug 13, 2016 3:33 pm

Somebody in my city sold me an O2 (R5000SC, 64MB, 4GB, A/V-Option, IRIX6.3) for 40 EUR via small ad, and offered me aforementioned Indigo2 for additional 20 EUR.
That was a nice and unexpected surprise.

Since the Indigo2 is missing a drivesled, I cannot post a full hinv yet. I ordered one from Ian. The O2 needs a new CDROM-drive, which I hope getting from eBay an eBay-auction tomorrow.

Isn't that really just a High IMPACT because your TRAM is missing?

Nice :D
I'm sure you'll have more fun with that one than the O2.

Nope. HighImpact is 2 PCBs and can take one optional TRAM module to expand TRAM from 1MB to 4MB, MaxImpact is 3 PCBs and the TRAM option requires two modules

I admit that I can't wait to install IRIX on this baby, because this type of machine is new to me!
