I'm beginning my painting process for my Fuel and soon my Octane2. What is the best paint to use for airbrushing inferno red on a fuel and hand painting fine details onto the sides of an octane 2?

Would royal red automotive paint from porsche be a good solution?

That's similar to what the famous "Corvette 9000s" from HP used. The downside would be (a) make sure it's compatible with the SGI plastics (SGI uses styrene) and (b) note that it will be more delicate than a powder coating such as is used on many mid-to-heavy-duty computer cases.

I just hope you're not foolish enough to paint the Crimson!

Modelbuilders/model train people are often good resources for painting plastic.

Oh God no! LOL. That baby will be scrubbed back to its original Jurassicness once I get the front panel and lower side skirts.

This is a rough draft of the octane 2 paint job. I plan on continuing the jungle growth pattern around the sides and stylizing the dinosaurs to fit in with the lighting conditions.

Quite bold ^^

I was planning on painting my Octan2 R14K2x V12 RED, but I need to find svg versions of the decals etc before even considering it.
There's a company here than can engrave the logos and fill with colored resin

That could be awesome. When you stylize the dinosaurs, consider putting feathers on them!
