Fanzine #1 of "Silicon-burn Mini-Mag'Zine" is published (FR)

Unread postby Sylvain P. » Fri Sep 25, 2009 2:48 pm

Without being boastful, the first issue of "Silicon-burn Mini-Mag'Zine" is published!
This fanzine is in French only for now, translation will come later.

Why make a "Fanzine" while http://www.silicon-burn.com site is still under construction?
Exactly the answer is in the question!

In fact, the realization of the site is taking too long to finish, wanting to do always more and always best, so it's taking me much longer than expected, with only 24 hours in a day ...

For this reason, I decided to make wait those who are awaiting the website by doing a "mini" Fanzine (I repeat, without being boastful), to keep awake the French community users of SGI IRIX.

This "Mini-Mag'Zine" is available only in print, but the advantage of being free! :-)
To receive the first copy (in French) you can simply apply by sending your postal address to:
minizine@silicon-burn.com.

A picture is always more eloquent than words, here below the 1st cover.

Your comments are welcome ...

For Nekochan members who may not be familiar with Sylvain - he is a first-class seller of all items SGI. I've conducted numerous successful trans-Atlantic purchases from him.

...And lots of other UNIX-like systems for which there is no icon.

Yeah, it's quite unusual, as SGI items (especially the 1st class ones) use to travel in the other direction

Nice!

I am looking forward to English translation, but for now will try to BabelFish the articles. :D

Very cool magazine idea. Oh BTW, Why not make a PDF Version? We could print and save shipping costs?
