I'm bored out of my mind until the new power cable for my Onyx arrives and I have started making little SGI's I can use in stuff like signatures. So far I have made ones for the following:

Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

On my to do list:
-Fuel
-Tezro
-Origin Rack (I don't know which series)
-Any other system that I have not mentioned (mostly the larger rack systems)

What I would really like would be a front shot of each system so I know what it looks like and I need something for scale (like a ruler or a coffee mug). Is anyone willing to help out?

I hope this is okay. The upper right corner is driving me crazy as I can't determine weather it's curved or not.

Image

^^ ignore. I deleted the old image.

EDIT: I revised it. It was too small the first time.

Something tells me that the O2, Fuel and Tezro won't be a walk in the park. I can't get the curves perfect.

I also did a few more systems.

I'm going to tackle the Professional Iris next.
EDIT: and here are a few more.

EDIT: Here are three racks. An Onyx, Challenge XL and a Skywriter.

That's all I can do. Now I need photos.

Ok, if CD is the theme, how about a software library pack? In the o2 picture the pack is approx in the middle(front to back that is , not enought room on the table...sorry).
The Onyx2 isn't really a Onyx2 but rather a disguised O2k. The name of the system? Well, Chameleon of course. :D
Notice the very advanced wedge at the bottom to keep the front plastic in place. That's what a missing wheel base can do for you.

I had to do the O2 case twice and I'm still not happy with it.

Considering the size of the computers I don't think you can do any better on the O2. It looks good to me.
Good work!

Thanks. I have been sweating over these all day and I'm calling it a day.

wouldn't vector drawings be good for this? the indigo 1 has a slight curve too, but one dimensional.

Vector drawings are too easy and I like pixel painting for some odd reason.

I'm looking at my Indigo and of you look directly at the front you really don't see a curve.

Pentium, what a great work!

I would be happy if you also can create images for o3400,o2000/o2400 and o300.

http://gallery.irixworld.net/v/origin-3400/
http://gallery.irixworld.net/v/origin2000/
http://gallery.irixworld.net/v/o300/

About the o2400.... that would be 2 o2k racks with craylinks in the middle. The rack on the right doesnt comes with the tiny LCD.

regards
Joerg

Thanks Pentium - I added these to the forum. If you click "View more smiles" on the posting window you can select the SGI icons from there, or put them inline with their emoticon code (colons around the system name):

Code:
:Indigo:

Gives you: :Indigo:
