WTB: Rack rails (for O3x00/O3x0): part # 040-3631-001

Unread postby mia » Tue Oct 02, 2012 10:40 pm

Hello,

I'm looking for some rails for O3x00/O3x0 servers, model part # 040-3631-001, those rails usually come in Origin3/Altix/Onyx3 racks. Preferably (but not limited to) from someone in the USA. I could use ~10 pairs of rails.

Thanks!

I have 2 pair of rails that I'm using with my Altix 350 bricks right now, but I'm going to be moving the Altix into a LackRack very soon and so won't be needing them. If you're interested I'd be happy to send them your way; I'm in Virginia Beach so shipping to the US shouldn't be a big deal (they would easily fit into a standard mailing tube).

I LackRack-ed my Tezro. It's the deluxe (side table on wheels) version.

LackRacks are an excellent hack 8-)

I like that a lot; I can't wait to set up the Altix in one (and I'll definitely post some pics when I do). My gf is obsessed with Ikea enough to forgo her "no hardware in the bedroom" rule when I showed her the idea, and the Altix is just the right level of background noise to be pleasant. My only problem right now is getting to Ikea, which is about 4 hours away.

Is this what you're looking for?

These are from an Origin 3800. I thought the Origin 300 used a different kind of rail.

Also, the part number on these are 040-3201-001.

Let me know if they would work. I've got plenty.

If those are the same length as what's used in the SGI short rack (26 inches), I'd be interested in a couple of sets if there are any left beyond what mia needs.

I'll toss my name in for needing two pair of O300 rails if the OP needs different O3000 rails.

Yep. They're 26" long.

I've got 23 pairs available.

The rack I'm trying to fit is 27" deep. Are the O300 rails adjustable?
