I was fortunate enough recently to upgrade my Indy to an r5000 processor. Does anyone have an extra Indy r5000 badge they could sell me? Thanks in advance.

I'll consider the whole cover in any shape, so long as the badge is good.

I could try prying one off one of my Indys, but its probably not worth the effort.

You might want an entire R5000 Indy cover, because the placement of the logos varies between the R4K and R5K systems. I believe on R5K Indys the hypercube is at the bottom beside the "Silicon Graphics" text, and the "Indy" logo is shifted to the left slightly to make room for the plastic R5K badge to its right. You can see the differences in these pics:

Thanks for the info, ajerimez. You're right, I would like the entire R5000 Indy cover for authenticity. It would be nice if someone were willing to part with one that is in pretty good shape.

Anyone have an Indy R5k case/cover they'd like to sell?

Didn't the R5k upgrade kit come with a badge as well? All my Indys have the same cover, only one has a r5k badge, attached directly above the white "Silicon Graphics" on the bottom right corner.

I have some Indys with different markings.

I guess the top one in the image was originally a R5000. It has 'Indy' printed slightly to the left so there is room for the badge.
The second from the top it probably upgraded to R5000.The third and fourth are R4400.

I will check in my 'secondary' storage if I have an extra R5000 badge.
If I have one, you can have it for free. If you want a complete case (or Indy), let's see what shipping costs.

Thanks.
If you don't have the badge, I'll buy a case with the badge.

Or SGI had some old-rev case lids that they used up. The way to check would be to look at the label on the bottom - an upgraded Indy R4k would have a "T150" or "T180" sticker covering up the old "Y(oscillator speed)" if it was done by SGI, or possibly nothing if it was done by someone else.

Just for the sake of completeness, my R5k-badged indy has the T150 on the factory label itself, not as an upgrade sticker.
