It's an easy mod if you have an old PC PSU sitting around anywhere.

I did it this summer and zip-tied the new PSU to the chassis skeleton beside the MMSC.

I've read Nekochan for some time and decided to sign up today to let everyone know I found a drop-in replacement for my MMSC psu at Jameco. The Mean Well PT-65B fits the screw posts as well as the harness without issue.

The replacement power supply has more output capacity and is far cheaper than the psu scrapers' average $200 cost for the stock PSU model. :D

By the way: Has anyone else noticed that the hot and neutral were backwards on the original psu? I had to reverse mine to fit the MeanWell and realized that the stock Artesyn always had the ac infeed reversed. Perhaps that's why it died! :(

When I (hopefully) locate my camera charger, I'll take plenty of pics and reply here.

PS: I love the simplicity of using this PC power supply. I posted here since it was an appropriate thread.

A fan for forced ventilation would still be a very good idea.
