SGI IRIS Universe Magazine sold on eBay for $100?!

Unread postby SiliconClassics » Tue Jan 23, 2018 6:30 pm

I love collecting printed SGI paraphernalia as much as the next guy, but I still couldn't imagine paying $100 for a single issue of IRIS Universe magazine!

Did anyone on here win the auction? What prompted you to bid so high?

And, uh, congratulations!

I was watching that. I used to have a stack. Who in their right mind would pay 100 bucks? I bet someone put a large sum to ensure they would win and someone else wanted it and started bidding it up.

I put a fairly high bid on it because that particular issue is missing from my set, and because I had the sense that it would probably get bid up a bit. I did not bid nearly high enough to win it.

I wondered if it's because of the ILM feature, specifically.
