[ebay][us] Fujitsu/Sun/Oracle SPARC Enterprise M3000 (not mine)

Unread postby johnnym » Sun Dec 03, 2017 5:03 am

The following two items look like a "cheap" entrance into relatively modern SPARC64 hardware, although according to the mentioned frequency of 2.75 GHz I assume they have a SPARC64 VII installed instead of a SPARC64 VII+. And as these processors came as dual- or quad-core versions with SMT the mentioned "4-core" could really be a dual-core with four hardware threads only:

The M3000 is at least supported by OpenBSD according to https://www.openbsd.org/sparc64.html. And I can confirm that OpenBSD indeed runs on SPARC64 gear, e.g. on Fujitsu PRIMEPOWER 250 machines (w/SPARC64 V+).
