CRT monitor, Acorn ROMs etc, RAM SIMMs/DIMMs, and other items (Yorkshire, UK)

Unread postby ajw99uk » Sun Oct 15, 2017 6:38 am

As a result of a recent clear-out, I am open to offers on the following items - bit of a mixed bag. For the SGI enthusiast, I draw your attention to the monitor (SOG-friendly!), 13W3-RGB adapter, parity FPM SIMMs, DIMMs for Fuel/Tezro/etc, an EISA 100Mbit ethernet card for Indigo2 and a PCI-X U320 SCSI card.

EDIT: Please note that I am also listing this on an Acorn-oriented forum, http://stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=13885. Items marked ** are under offer, struck-through items gone.
EDIT2: what I thought was an Econet module almost certainly isn't, but I don't know what it is - please see revised description below for this 'mystery item'
EDIT3: Please see updated list as at 11 November below
==================

Monitor - collection/local delivery/halfway-handover only
Idek Iiyama VisionMaster Pro17 (MT9017E) CRT 17", 50-160Hz vertical and 27-92KHz horizontal.
Inputs: HD15 ('D-sub')and 5xBNC.
Goes very nicely with RiscPC or ColourCard-equipped Arc/A5000 (using 'CCMonitorType 2'); RISC OS MDF files at https://www.arcsite.de/hp/cms/emdf.html (with several variants). Using BNC for video and sync (single or separate H/V), this monitor displays hi-res mono from Archimedes A540/R2xx and A4x0/R140.
Also used with SGI Indigo2 and Octane, using 13W3-HD15 or 13W3-RGB adapter (not supplied)

Other items are all postable at modest cost within the UK.

Cables (lengths are approximate)
Graphics
** 9M-9M cable, for Acorn Archimedes RGB output to Taxan 700-series multisync (1.5m, compare http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/indiv ... e=CAB-7709)
** 9M-15M cable, for Acorn Archimedes RGB to VGA monitor (1.2m, pins 5,9,12,15 missing from HD15 plug, compare http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/indiv ... AB-ML9M-9F)
** 15M-9F adapter, wired for converting VGA to Acorn Archimedes RGB output (homebrew version of http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/indiv ... =CAB-15M9F)
** 15M-9F cable/adapter (0.6m cable, pins 4,5,9,12,15 missing from HD15 plug, application unknown, but compare http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/indiv ... AB-AKF3015)
** 13W3-3BNC (RGB) adapter for workstations using sync-on-green output (e.g. SGI 'Mardigras' and XL/XZ boards)
SCART cable M-M, 1.5m
SCART 2-way adapter (two F, one M joined by c.30cm cable)
Serial(?) 2m extension/adapter 25F-9M (with spare 9F socket - the plug/sockets can all be opened for rewiring if necessary)
Printer cable 3m, 36pin Centronics plug at both ends (i.e. suit switchbox->printer)

Acorn CPUs and other ICs
** ARM2 - working pull from A3000 upgrade to ARM3 circa 1994
** ARM2 - working pull from R140 upgrade to ARM3

ARM3 25MHz upgrade for A310/A4x0 (IFEL carrier board to fit into ARM2 socket, ceramic package - condition doubtful)
** Archimedes A440 MEMC 'Anna' and 'old' PAL (0276,023-01), condition unknown (I believe they came with an A440 which had been upgraded to MEMC1A and new PAL)
** MEMC1A - probably working, with socket
RISC OS 4.02 ROMs, with installation CD
** RISC OS 3.1 ROMs - part numbers 0296, 041-044
** RISC OS 2.00 ROMs - part numbers 0283, 022-025 - 01 (Toshiba)
** RISC OS 2.00 ROMs - part numbers 0283, 022-025 - 01 (Fujitsu)
** RISC OS 2.00 ROMs - part numbers 0283, 022-025 - 01 (Fujitsu)
Wizzo5 IDEFS ROM for A5000, version 3.13
Archimedes HD floppy upgrade, as produced by Pasi Juppo (WD1772-PH, plus small PCB with socket, 74HC257P and 16MHz crystal to be fitted in place of the existing 1772, along the same lines as set out here http://qubeserver.com/Qube/projects/hdfloppy.html)

Acorn expansion cards and other hardware
** MYSTERY ITEM - square PCB about 2 inches across, fits Econet socket in Archimedes/A5000/BBC Master but has only four ICs (and very little sign of any other components). Covered in black plastic, so cannot see details of those ICs. It is not EcoSCSI or the MIDI interface from The Serial Port, but presumed to be some other form of interface using the Econet socket on the m/b (and, in the absence of any connection aside from the 17+4 pins into that socket, also using the DIN socket for a cable plug)
Wild Vision VED1 - PCB with a socket to fit over a VIDC1 and a 16pin plug, for fitting a ColourCard to an A3000
** Watford Electronics external floppy drive buffer
** RiscPC case locking pins, full set for single slice
** RiscPC case lid (cosmetic blemish front RH corner, which has resisted a variety of domestic cleaning products)
** Single-width blanking plate (three available)

Other expansion cards
3Com 3C597, EISA ethernet 10/100Mbit with RJ45 and BNC connections
Intel WiFi 2200BG, mini-PCI, working pull from laptop
LSI LS20320HP PCI-X 64bit Ultra320 HBA, single channel with one internal HD68 socket (NB no external socket), flashed with non-HP firmware for operation in an SGI workstation

RAM modules
SIMMs
** two sets of four of 16MB per SIMM, parity FPM, gold contacts, working pull from SGI Indigo2
DIMMs
four 256MB proprietary form factor for SGI Fuel/Tezro/Origin3x0
SODIMMs
two 1GB DDR2 533MHz (PC4200), working pull as a pair from laptop
one 512MB DDR2 533MHz (PC4200)
** one 512MB DDR2 533MHz (PC4200), working pull from laptop
** two 64MB PC100, working pulls from (1) a Kinetic StrongARM card and (2) a Saintsong EspressoPC

Other CPUs
Pentium III M 1.0GHz, 133MHz FSB, 512MB cache, working pull from laptop
AMD Athlon X2-64, dual core, 2.5GHz, ADO5000IAA5DD

Other
Keyboard - Logitech Cordless iTouch, PS/2 plug on transceiver unit; keyboard has multimedia buttons as well as usual keypad etc (requires two AA batteries)
Hitachi GCC4244N slimline CDRW/DVDROM, working pull from Saintsong EspressoPC
six PCBs for IBM DCAS43440 hard drive, three narrow SCSI, three wide SCSI (68pin) [purchased batch of seven, used one to repair a 2GB DCAS drive]
Huawei Echolife HG520b ADSL modem/router/wifi/4-port switch (supplied by TalkTalk with 'locked' firmware, which might be replacable with 'unlocked'; even as it stands this unit can be used as for its four-port ethernet switch and/or wireless)
