Neat Tezro for sale in the US (No international shipping though)

There's a rather neat Tezro up for grabs in the US, it's a pity that the seller does't offer international shipping though!

It looks to be a basic configuration, without a DCD or other option cards, but the Plastics appear to be good!

Yeah, it is in Gilroy, just south of me. I'm currently the high bidder, though I doubt it will stay that way. Also, I just noticed the shipping more than doubled since I bid this morning . Hopefully they will let me do a local pickup if I win.

If you ask them. They might make a one time exception to the no international shipping policy. I have had success doing so with other items in the past. Especially if you are the only buyer.

That seems high. Honestly, I debated at $700. There are no pictures of the inside, no hinv, no extra PCI cards, and only a vague guarantee that it even starts. My experience buying computers on ebay is that people who have good spec machines tell you. People that have min or even mysteriously below min spec machines list little to nothing. If it works, it is very likely a single 700MHz CPU with 256MB RAM and V10 graphics. That appears to be the minimum spec that could be special ordered.

All that said, this is coming from an electronics recycling company. It is possible it came from a shop that was using it until recently. In which case it might have decent specs. However, it seems odd that there are no PCI cards or gaping holes where those cards might have been if they were parted out separately.

In the end, it makes sense to assume the worst and bid accordingly. In this case, that means a chassis with decent front/back plastics and huge gashes along the sides.

If you get it for less than $800 you are doing well. quad 700 node boards are cheap and if it is a V12 you are ahead of the game, but a V10 still makes a nice system.

The chassis with fair plastics is the hard part to get.

I would ask about the local pickup option as this lets you bid more than you normally would.

It went for more than I was willing to bid without more info. Hopefully somebody here got it so we will find out the specs. It looked like a fairly clean machine.
