Mint Condition SGI Indy R5000 Case + Chassis x 2

Unread postby jkay79 » Wed Sep 20, 2017 3:52 pm

Hi All

I have 2 SGI Indy R5000 cases/chassis

No guts or contents and in Mint Condition, I would say they were from a spare parts supplier and look brand new .

I got them on ebay several years ago, my intention was to do a Case Mod and stick a PC inside but I just have not got around to doing it.

I may still use one of them, but I am willing to part with the second for a serious offer.

I also picked up an SGI Fuel and Octane at the same time ( In good condition, I've never turned them on to see if they work.. lol )

Are you saying you are selling the Octane and Fuel?

What is the serial number on the back on the Octane?
Looks like this....

CMNB015ANF250

Usually the last three numbers indicate the processor/s (250MHZ) inside. At least I think thats how it goes.

I have been looking to get an Octane but haven't found the right price/condition. They can be finicky.

Lots of people looking for Fuel all the time. Need the HINV specs on the machines.

Do they have hard drives? If they turn on you can run the "hinv" in the terminal to check the stats.

Always someone looking to pick up a fuel around here.
