For Sale: Onyx350 IR3.

Currently installed in a full height Onyx2 rack (included with system).
The compute module is a quad 800MHz Origin350 (has Origin 350 badging) with 8 GB of RAM.,
It has a the IO9, a DM-10 / M-Audio Revolution 7.1 audio board, and a USB card (for kb&m)
in the PCI riser.

The Graphics are InfiniteReality 3. The Graphics Module has a GE16, four RM10s, a Ktown2, and
DG5-2/TVO (the HD Graphics-to-Video option board). The DMedia Video Break-Out Box that
goes with the TVO option is included. I'll also include a number of spare InfiniteReality option boards,
including a pair of DG5-2DPlex boards, an DG5-2/GVO (which is SD rather than HD), a couple of RM9s
(think I have a complete IR2 board set, but I'll have to check on that), and a spare Ktown2.

The system includes an rack-mounted L2 controller (without touch display); I use the L2 to initiate
the full system power up sequence. The L2 is powered by a household-wall-socket-friendly
wall-wart power supply.

The system is installed in an Onyx2 full-height rack which includes the side panels and top hat. I've added an
O3k-style Power Distribution Unit (you could think of the PDU as a rack-mounted surge-strip minus the surge
protection). It connects to a 220/230V and provides 10 three-prong female outlets. The O350 compute
module, the L2 Controller and the tape drive enclosure have switched power supplies and will run on either
110/115V or 220/230V power. The Graphics Module requires 220/230V power, and it can't be run through the
PDU, so if you want to connect the Graphics Module and the PDU you'll need *two* 220/230V 30A outlets.
Both currently have the NEMA L6-30 twist-lock connectors that SGI shipped with 220/230V systems for the
US/Canadian markets.

The system includes an Ultrium2 tape drive (in a Dell PowerVault 114T rack-mount enclosure).

I've attached an hinv/gfxinfo/env/serial all; there are a few additional details and a few (dated) photos
in the original hinv thread.

I'm asking a thousand dollars for the system. I realize I could probably double that if I was
willing to break it up and sell it in pieces, but I spent *a lot* of time and effort on the system
and would like to see it live on (so please don't ask if I'd sell parts).

Because of the size of the unit and the number of spares included, shipping wouldn't probably be
practical, so I''ll start out asking for a "collection-only" sale.

If anyone does decide to contact me, please be patient while awaiting a response. I'm not able
to get by here as often as I used to.

That would be so sweet, and the price is really decent, but it would cost more than that per month to lease the extra space for me to have it :cry:

To whoever buys this system. I will give you a free upgrade with GE-16, 2 RM11s and the IR4 front labels. Just pay shipping.
If the thing isn't on fire it's a software problem.
