DL360's?

We used those at my old job. I loved working with them. I kind of wish I had a c3000+blades for my home lab, but ain't nothing gonna get those babies across the pacific and into my basement :D

What kind of networking modules did you have in your chassis? We used both the gbe2c's (rebranded something. I don't remember what, now) and the procurve 6120XG's, and I really preferred the 6120XG's management interface. I've always been a procurve fanboy, though.

We had a couple of procurve 5406zl's for our core switches. I loved those things. Rock solid for the 4 years we had them. Sure beat the junky old foundry switches we replaced. Those damn things would randomly reboot and lose their boot config in the process, so all the ports would revert to the default VLAN. Things like that don't make me miss being on call....

460 G7s. Also a small pile of DL-380s I think a few had a hundred plus Gb of RAM in those.
I think there might be stuff one or two generation before or after that.
Plus some Citrix stuff plus a whole lot of switches, fibre, routers, stuff...
some 1 RU Intel servers random stuff.
Seriously, it has to go to a scrap metal dealer or someting soon.

Don't know much about this hardware, but even if you have no takers for the system as a whole, the huge amounts of RAM would surely be worth putting on eBay? Especially if the modules are compatible with other servers, as HP RAM often is.

Buyers are utter fucktards these days and then after the buy shit and then refuse to pay for it fleabay charges you a commision (like hundreds of dollars) and its a shit fight to get any money back from them.

Once more for the record.
Fuck fleabay.
Never ever again. Ever.

Ah yes. Off by 100 error. My memory was a little rusty. BL460's.

If you won't sell the RAM/cpus on ebay, would you at least sell them here? I personally have several systems that will happily take those 5600 series Xeons and the accompanying RAM...

I tossed the link out at work. Sadly our man in Oz is in Melbourne, and none of our Aussies have friends near Sydney.

If you're open to donation and get a tax benefit from doing so, a colleague who lived in Fiji suggested donation to non-profit groups like Pacific Islands Chapter of the Internet Society or the Pacific Community.
