FREE - Octane1, Origin200 - Derbyshire, UK

Unread postby spk » Sat Jul 08, 2017 6:53 am

Hi all,

I've got some Octane 1 and Origin 200 systems that I need to move on in order to clear space in my house.

I haven't powered them on in a while but I'll see if I can get things fired up and start posting specs this afternoon.

I should have drives and PSUs for everything, may need to do some wiping before collection.

I do actually have 2x Origin200 plus the CrayLink, if that makes it more interesting.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi,

One o200 has all the plastics/sides and the door. Door is currently off to protect it when I last moved but it should fit back on ok and I have keys for it.

The Octane 1s had plastics but I'd want to check them out more before saying any more.

Cheers,
Steve

Working on it.

Getting things out is proving harder than an anticipated. A big part of why I want to move them on, better someone else who can run them have them.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi,

I've got them out and take some photos. This is the best of the two o200s although the main difference between the two is that the corner of the door is broken on one system.

I'll pick this back up tomorrow, I need to head out now.

Cheers,
Steve

Wow. A decent condition origin 200

If I didn't have on ocean to get over I'd take one or both. But I'm sure they'll go to a good home.

Hopefully, someday we can make molds of the plastics that go on these things in deskside mode and print our own.

Yep, they're both in pretty good condition considering the age. You're right, it'd be great to be able to replace the plastics, shame they degrade as the rest of the machine is built like s tank!

One o200 provisionally taken.

I'll try to update with more details later today.

Any updates? I'd love the o200s and Craylink if still available.
