FS/T: Apple Xserve RAID array & Sun B1600 blade server/chass

Unread postby rem » Tue May 15, 2012 12:41 pm

Need the room. I have these still available:

Sun B1600 w/ b100s blades. I can populate it with up to 14 blades(blades are 650mhz, come with ram and hd). Dual AC. No shipping on this. Can include a spare chassis with all modules(but no blades) and a spare switch module.

Apple Xserve RAID Array. Dual controllers, dual AC, dual fans, dual batteries. 14 sleds are included. I can include 4x250gb HD's to get you started (500gb usable raid 5, with 1 hotspare). Works perfectly. Last model they made. No rails, but I can include a shelf that I had used to rackmount it with/on.

PM an offer(cash or trade). Will also trade for arcade stuff(if you're local).

edited to reflect what's gone and what's newly added. Location is morris county, NJ.

43p-140 isn't MCA, it's PCI - but PReP, so 5.1 is still the end of the road.

bump. And SAQ is correct(it's funny too, since I had pulled a video card from the 43p-140 moments before I posted). My main point was it will run up to 5.1, and not 5.3.

It's easy to make the max-AIX=5.1 means MCA connection - I mainly pointed it out because it's easier to find PCI perepherals and a PReP machine will run xBSD/Linux as well as AIX, and MCA machines won't.

However you don't get the cool LED display and Medeco lock on the PReP boxes.

While I'd like a newer POWERbox (mine is a MCA box - cool but slow) I'd rather wait for one that runs a newer AIX.

powerstack gone.

I still need to post indy hinv and ultra64 output. I was hoping to have sourced a n64 av cable by now(can't find my old n64). I'll possibly head to gamestop or find one on craigslist.

Indy specs:

IP22
100MHz R4000
64mbytes
8bit gfx

I do have 24bit card somewhere. If I find it, it'll be included. Of course, any interest in the indy is solely for the ultra64 board.

Where's "local"? Xserver RAID would be fun, but not fun to ship...
