Saw them also. Makes me want to raise my minimum price, look at the condition
of those on eBay. The quad 1ghz is not to bad but it appears to have been striped
of all the cards and what not.

Who strips the QL2342 cards worth less than 15 bucks out of a system with $4K B.I.N., but leaves the DM3 in?
Now this is a deep dark secret, so everybody keep it quiet :)
It turns out that when reset, the WD33C93 defaults to a SCSI ID of 0, and it was simpler to leave it that way... -- Dave Olson, in comp.sys.sgi

Currently in commercial service: Image :Onyx2:(2x) :O3x02L:
In the museum: almost every MIPS/IRIX system.
Wanted: GM1 board for Professional Series GT graphics (030-0076-003, 030-0076-004)

Over two grand just for the basic 700mhz one?
I still don't need an unlicensed, non DM'd Tezro that badly.

Lots of them... but the prices are way above what I would be able to justify.

My guess would be the original owners - to use in what ever PC they bought to replace the Tezros (I'd also hazard a guess that the original owners sold them for *much* less than 4k). At least they didn't get carried away and pull the IO9s and DM3s.

B&B put a quad 1GHz Tezro on eBay as well. Nice skins and it still has the 'Discreet' config (with DM3, dual FC, etc). Personally, I'd rather buy from B&B than some recycling outfit. But the price is still well beyond most hobbyist budgets (mine, at least).

I know its alot of cash for a hobbyist but sometimes hobby's
are expensive.
