Hmmm... does anyone know if this collection of Iris manuals is already in digital form somewhere ?

If not, I would take them to rescue (scan) them, but if they're already safe in techpubs, it wouldn't be necessary...

To accentuate the special identity of the IRIS 4D/70, Silicon Graphics' designers selected a new color palette. The machine's coating blends dark grey, raspberry and beige colors into a pleasing harmony. (IRIS 4D/70 Superworkstation Technical Report)

For all who expressed interest in my 4D system skins, ps, manuals, etc I'll try and take some pictures to give you a better idea of what I have here. Just bear with me and I'll try and get a few pictures of them up soon.

As for the skins, they all appear to be in excellent condition and I did not see any cracks. It looks like there may be some tape residue on a couple of them though.

Took some pictures today for those who expressed interest.

Remember the manuals are hard cover, 3 ring binders measuring 8 1/2" wide by 9 1/2" tall.

I haven't gotten to removing the 4D power supply yet.

Some pictures show the 4D system before dismantling and the others speak for themselves.

The skins look to be in excellent condition with nothing broken but a couple scratches where the brown paint has been removed. It looks like there is dried tape in a couple areas though.
