Siemens RM200, RM300, and RM600 ** FREE if you collect it **

Unread postby filiusvitae » Fri Jan 29, 2010 1:24 am

Hi,

I work for a telecom operator, and we are now retiering an old telecom platform (Intelligent Network) from Siemens.

The HW inventory is as follows:

2 x RM200
1 x RM300
3 x RM600-320
2 x RM600(pereferi 1+2 discrack)

3 x RM 600 E60
3 x discrack for E60
5 x RM BBU (BatteryBackupUnit)
3 x RM200
1 x RM300

SiemensNixdorf PXT7 Jukeboks.

The RM600's are fully specced (24 x R1000 CPUs at 200mhz, and 24 GB ram), the other machines I do not know. Disks are not included.

The system runs Siemens Reliant Unix 5.4, and is equiped with several SS7 E1 cards.

The catch: The system is quite large. I estimate total of 6-8 square meters, and it is quite heavy. Thus it must be collected. We can provide crane and truck to lift the system out of the building, but you must provide transportation.

System is located in Oslo, Norway.

If this is of any interest, I can provide detailed hw-inventory and documentation. The system has been running Siemens IN@vantage IR 6.2 platform with several value added telecom services.

Leave post here, or send me a PM and we can work out the details.

You know you're dealing with "Big Iron" when the word 'crane' is necessary when talking about transport!

Only just noticed this.

Sadly I'm in Australia. Did it goto a good home?

I have recently come across the media for 5.44 on MIPS.

Sad too. I did not notice this when it got posted, and now it's obviously way too late. I'd kill to get any RM200/300/400 system in working condition. Rhetorically, that is. I don't intend to commit murder any time soon

Hi again Miod :)

Same. Tell you what.. I'll distract them whilst you make off with the RM200's and we'll sort it out and split the shipping later ;)

It'd be pretty interesting I'll admit. The chipset on them looks pretty Triton-II'esque with a pleasant CL fb.
