SGI O2 + Indigo2 (incl. Barco paperwork) in Bergen, Norway

Unread postby luchford » Tue Mar 31, 2009 5:25 pm

I am selling all my stationary computers, and sadly that will have to include my SGI O2 and Indigo2...

SGI O2
R10000 225mhz (originally a R5000 180mhz - the old module is also included)
416MB RAM (comes with 2 additional 128MB sticks (672MB in theory), but I had some (unknown) errors with at least one of the sticks)
36GB Seagate Cheetah U160 drive.
IRIX 6.5.30
Original CDROM
Audio board only
Looking for 1350 NOK (approx. $200, €150), or best offer.

SGI Indigo 2 - SOLD
R10000 195mhz
640MB RAM
9GB harddrive
Solid Impact graphics card
Wacom 6x8" art-z serial tablet
IRIX 6.5.22
The case has the usual scuff marks from a monitor on the top side. Purple feet included.
Complete original Barco Creator 7.1/7.2 manuals and notes [ahem].
Looking for 1000 NOK (approx. $150, €115), or best offer [just shipping this to Norway was 2000 NOK!]

I also have lots of cd-roms (hotmix ++), keyboard/mouse etc. which will be included.

At least to begin with, I only accept local pickup offers... if you come frome outside of town, I will happily give you a free tour of beautiful Bergen!

I've made some updates/upgrades;

I found some additional ram sticks, so the O2 now has 416mb ram instead of 384mb.

Originally I noted that the Indigo2 used to shut down after a few hours - I think this had to do either with the power cable, socket or similar - I've now run it several days in a row for 12 hours at a time, and it has never shut down by itself (though it is still sold as-is).

I've had one pick-up offer from abroad for the Indigo2, but as I haven't heard back from him in a some days, I'm still open to "best offers" from locals or people willing to make a trip :).

You sure know how to take good photos of your gear and make use of the "sex sells" technique :D

That Indigo2 setup looks really appealing... but I live far too far away :?

Hehe, it seems my technique worked - the Indigo2 is SOLD.

I also reduced the price of the O2 a bit.

Regarding distance - I regularly use the direct flight from Bergen to Frankfurt - it's only about €100 - which would be cheaper than shipping most any SGI from Norway (of course there are costs to get to and from the airport etc.). There are also flights from Berlin and Hamburg if I recall correctly. So ... if you need a small (SGI) easter holiday - come to Bergen ;)
