Seems like they have a heart for us fans&freaks. Ordered one, but I fear they won't sell it to Germany because of the RoHS-shit. :x

Perhaps I'm gonna need some help by a nekochaner from the US with this. I definitely want one of these, whether new or 'remanufactured'.

Greetings

Yes - a full IRIX 6.5.30 install set. I also didn't mention the graphics cable is 13W3 > HD15 <no adapter necessary if you don't have a 13W3 monitor>. If you're curious, there's an hinv posted here.

So, has anybody else picked one of these up?

So tempting - but the $400 offer is too low? A bit pricey for me, especially given that I've already got an Octane, but it's certainly tempting, especially with the latest IRIX media included.

And whoa - what is this $595 deal?

I've got one, and passed the flyer along to a friend of mine here in town, who also promptly picked one up.

I would be that other person here in town and yet I got one. I have yet to hear anything back yet though. I thought that she said she was going to email invoices out?

The sales rep to me to allow 10 to 12 days for testing/configuration before it shipped. My confirmed order date was April 5th - it shipped on the 17th - arrived on April 20th. The one I received shipped from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Hope yours is a little speeder

I was told my invoice would be mailed after the Octane2 shipped - the invoice hasn't arrived yet.

I received mine today; exactly the same as recondas's machine. Here are few pictures (dial-up warning - these are big):

Accessories
Front
Rear

I'd post a hinv, but it's the same as already posted by recondas.

I haven't heard from him, yet. I emailed him yesterday while I was unpacking the Octane2, but haven't heard back.

I got mine yesterday also. Much faster then I was expecting. It looks like it is pretty much brand new. I also came home to a dead drive in my raid array so I have not had anytime to play with it yet.

Hopefully tonight I will have it up and running.

Go ahead - it'd be interesting to see what part numbers and revisions are in yours <these were probably built at or near the end of Octane production> It might answer some questions for people searching part numbers before they upgrade or buy.
