I say we take up a collection and buy a controlling interest in SGI. They are currently trading @ $1.57 on the NYSE, I'm sure we could afford it. It'd sure solve our EPROM headache easier than trying to reason with the powers that be.

A leveraged taekover by Nekochan :-)

Is the stock really that high ? Not too long ago they were in danger of being de-listed because the stock price was below a dollar for too long.

Around Aug/Sept of 2001, when I bought stock in sgi, it was around $0.32-35 a share. It jumped to around $3-4 and I sold and rolled it back in when it dropped to around $1.50

I think we're getting a little off topic here.

...Probably; but the news are: I've not received a single one call from the people on SGI :( ...So, I think the buy of 51% of SGI's stock is not a so bad idea...

...Anyway, in a couple of days I'll send a new feedback ticket to SGI, claiming for the same. This time supported by a few mails to some internal employees ...We'll see...

I've not tried the third way:

"The ip32PROM Customers Rebelion"

...getting mail addresses / phone numbers from ex-employees of SGI, or current key employees... and so on.

I'll let this one "on the freezer", looking forward here, to see if anyone else support my initiative with personal mails, feedback tickets, or simply with bunchs of fire burned torchs at the doors of the Mountainview offices

Cheers!

Any valiants?

I'm with you Diego, riots have been an effective means to address grievances since the dawn of recorded history. :) Slightly more on topic though, does anybody know or know of somebody within SGI I can write?

This is a classic case of Lost in Translation.

Given the western worlds aversion to rodents, especially mice and rats, can you imagine kids getting any sleep knowing that a rodent was coming during the night to take the tooth from under their pillows.

Well that tooth tarantula gets pretty close to the "reality" of "hairy five-fingered hand (belonging to parents) that grabs tooth and leaves quarters, during the night" :P

/me goes off to invent more mythical creatures.
