Was a bit hit and miss at first, not sure what the standard config file is set at, but it would not display anything at all on any of my screens and then did the red/withe/off/on/red/white thing...
after a lot of reading i found that its possible that the Fuel doesn't like my USB keyboard/mouse.. ok grab the ones from my Octane and plug them in..
GREAT!! continues booting and finally i can see some garbled crap on the screen.
shut down and go through my collection of monitors to find one that likes its rez.. Sony Playstation screen comes up trump and i can finally watch it boot into the 4D user selection window.. Mouse NON responsive...
sigh...
test about 3 different mouses, a few USB ones too, no joy...
log into single user mode and terminal and MV ioconfig.conf (in ETC) to something else in the hope it will generate its own new ioconfig.conf file.
did that, still no mouse action....
can you guys think of anything else??
EDIT:
Ok , when the console comes up where it asks if you want to go into maintenance, the mouse works for just under a second, then freezes, system still works just the mouse freezes.
The result is the same when its plugged in via PS2, or USB, or USB>PS2 adaptor. and over a wide variety of mice.
I vi-ed into ioconfig.conf and there is nothing unusual there.
