Just got a VWS 320

Unread postby MisterDNA » Mon May 06, 2013 9:59 pm

Long time no see! I've been out of the SGI game for a bit, but when I was offered a 320 today I just couldn't pass it up.

Dual PIII 450MHz
256MB RAM with 6 slots left open
qlogic SCSI card
Alias|Wavefront June/99 FlexID Dongle

I intend to turn this into a Windows 2000 retro machine to run Autodesk Animator Pro.

I've got two 1600SW panels here at home, but there's no daughtercard in the machine. Anybody got one?

Also, more RAM couldn't hurt if it's available. Might as well fill the remaining slots.

I have one 030-1350-___ (white square is blank) Rev. B, which I understand is for the VWS machines. Let me know.

I have a serious snit fit whenever I see the words "Windows" and "workstation" being used associatively, but with the VWS series I'm willing to give SGI the benefit of the doubt...
Temporarily lost at sea...
World domination! Or something...
