 Post subject: Fuel not starting

Hi there, I'm trying to bring my other Fuel (in Poland) back to life, I got an ATX PSU installed (using my famous adapters),
I am able to get into L1, check everything and issue power up:

But all I get upon startup in console is:

I waited a couple minutes after the last message with no luck, looking at my primary fuel, there should be either message about widget not present (Vpro) or NUMA following.

I'm pretty sure some 5 months ago this Fuel worked, I might have swapped the PIMM (for another with the same frequency - also working) and/or memory, but even if something was wrong it should at least go beyond that message in the console...

Any thoughts ?

If you're doing this over the console you probably don't have the graphics readout ? Is it still at the red light or do you get to flashing white ?

The thing that I always check first is the scsi cable to the disks. SGI must have saved thirty cents on that thing, it seems to be very brittle and flaky.

I had this same thing happen when a graphics board went bad, hope that is not your problem but you can check by sticking a known-good board in there if you have one handy. Memory is also a possibility - when I accidentally installed the memory in not-pairs once the computer was quite unhappy. Disabled both memory banks, in fact. That was something of a problem :)

Fuels are not as touchy as O2s but in my experience they don't like to be moved around and parts swapped very much. Double check cables, connections, screws, all that stuff. Did you upgrade the pimm by any chance ? They won't boot with a slower pimm installed than what they think it should be.

edit: oops. I see your memory shows up fine. Okay, scratch that possible cause.
