Well, more to the point, I'm interested in this ....

Compatibility
The only supported keyboard is the Onyx 3000 keyboard part number
062-0066-001 supplied by SGI. Other over the counter USB keyboards may
work, but have not been qualified by SGI.

Likewise, the only SGI qualified mouse is part number 063-0011-001.

Currently the Wacom Graphire2 is the only USB tablet qualified on SGI
systems.

Well!!!! I have a graphire 4 installed on the fuel. It shows up on HINV and appears on confidence tests as a tablet... I can use the Confidence test successfully, but when I run Gimp, nothing... I installed cinepaint, and was able to get the pen's buttons to work, but If I use the pen tip, Cinepaint SLOWLY accepts the input for a few seconds, (also I have to scroll across the wacom about 16 times to select 1/4in of graphics... then cinepaint locks up...

Anyone know of how to config a USB table without a tablet control panel????

:lol: :twisted:

Outside of GIMP and Cinepaint, are you able to use the tablet as a normal mouse in IRIX?
This is probably not the solution to your problems, but just in case: I installed my Intuos3 under Linux a while ago, and to use it in GIMP I had to go to Preferences > Input Devices > Configure Extended Input Devices.

Gimp does not show any extended device options.... and I have not tried setting up the tablet as the primary X input device... Something to try though

well, what driver is this running with currently and what kind of configuration can be done with this? because wacom's own driver (latest/last one - 4.80) does not support any USB tablets on irix or so they state in the manual.

Irix installed it's own Tablet driver. (USB)
Irix 6.5.28

OK, Wacom USB graphire 4 is working fine under irix. (Both the pen and the included mouse!)
I still have some tweaking to do with my X11 input config entry but it's useable.

If any one else wants to use this setup, (FUEL, ONYX3 only) here is the start of my Config file.

/usr/lib/X11/input/config/tablet

x_init {
name "tablet"
pushpointer "exclusive"
autostart "on"
pressure "on"

}

Hello!
anyone can confirm if the pressure levels works in USB WACOM TABLETS under IRIX?
For example, in Photoshop or another image editing software?
Could it be possible in a Cintiq 12WX too?

Thanks!
