A note - as this is a new server with a new hostname I've opened a ticket my ISP to have the reverse DNS updated to match (as my ISP chooses to handle to reverse portion on their side). Until the ticket is resolved (24-48 hours) some of you may not receive forum e-mail notifications as some mail servers do a reverse DNS check and bounce the message if they don't match up.

Very nice!

I am progressing with the mirror script to mirror Nekoware on my system at the University.

Hope to see this site continue going smooth :)

I guess this site will run into problems sooner or later.

What would be the next upgrade ? mips based or itanic ? Hope the origin 350 will have enough resources for the next years

Keep up the good work Neko.

With the site in it's current configuration it will be a long time before we need anything else - the 15 minute load average is 0.01 on this system.

Sounds like you need a serious bandwith upgrade on your internet connection :P

Ouch,

I pay approx 40 US-$ for ADSL 6000/576. Ok, not comparable in features with a SDSL, but somewhat cheaper ...

I could change to a cheaper ADSL account but I'd lose lots of stuff like reverse DNS support, multiple IPs, etc. Besides, the part that counts for a website is the upstream bandwidth and we'd take a substantial cut in that department (about half) - which would run counter to your argument that I need a better connection :)

I'm not much for donating on demand, but this is one of the sites I wouldn't have a problem chipping in for once in a while. Considering how much effort you put in to this place Neko. I mean I don't think you should have to rely on donations but you could buy yourself something pretty.
