Invalid sessions

Unread postby max_impact » Wed Feb 05, 2003 7:52 pm

Am I the only one getting "invalid session" when trying to post after previewing, or is this just the combination of Mozilla on Irix?

(btw, has anybody successfully compiled phoenix?)

I haven't run into that one yet ... very strange! I usually post from a Mac OS X machine using Chimera (based on Mozilla) or Safari.

I got it once, but I took to damn long to type up the post, so by the time I hit the submit button, it gave me that error.

I checked the session cookie settings; the cookies have a value of 3600 seconds (1 hour) at the moment which is the default.

Ahhh.... I feared it was just me :(

I'm too lazy after a hard days work to power up my Linux box, so Mozilla/Irix it is! (I've updated my Mozilla - another 1.3a build - and it's a bit better).

Darn it... I'm still getting it occasionally - normally after I've written a long sentence - so I'll stick to nutscrape for now :?

I did some research on it and found a (huge) thread on the subject at the phpBB site.

Lots of talk in there but none of the solutions given seems to be a fix-all. Hopefully the next release of phpBB will fix it. It doesn't affect everybody ... it seems to be ISP related.

Nekonoko dude, you wouldn't happened to have upgraded phpBB by any chance? My invalid_session anti-posting feature seems to have taken the high road :D

No, I haven't made any changes ... I rebooted the machine the other day though, maybe that did something :)
