Fuel hardware aggregator edits ?

Unread postby kubatyszko » Fri Sep 15, 2017 1:55 pm

Hi there,

I'd like to update this page and maintain especially the section about power supply adapter (of my manufacture) and list of compatible ATX PSU's

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9046

Is there any way I could get an edit access to the post to streamline the process and not have to bother @zafunk ?

I can't change the OP user of that topic, but you're welcome to add a post with your additions, so the mods can integrate it in Zafunk's post.

While the OP of each of the Aggregators could certainly consolidate info from follow-up posts into the aggregated content, the mods have kept up with making most of the changes. Mostly because it takes moderator-level access to split the follow-up posts off into their own topic (once the new content has been aggregated).

The aggregated content is usually linked to the newly created split topic. You can see an example of how that works in this post. It was originally posted in the IP35 Aggregator, the essential content was added to the IP35 Aggregator, and the post split off as a new topic. A link to the now split-off thread was added the content that was added to the Aggregator, in a new sub-topic (Ultra-High Resolution Monitors:) that was added to the IP 35 Aggregator.

Given the interest in the Fuel PSU topic and kubatyszko's particular expertise in the area, I think it may make sense for kubatyszko to start a new thread on the subject, and the mods can make it a sticky topic or promote it to an announcement, like what has been done for the aggregator threads.

This way, kubatyszko can manage the central article directly rather than relying on mod intervention.

I've collected some relevant info into a new post here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16732341

Please make it sticky - (I hope I can edit the subject to remove that phrase later).

Thanks.

Done. I edited the subject and made it into an "Announcement" post. It appears at the top of the Hardware forum, in the same box as the Hardware Aggregators.

Thanks for creating the adapters, and thanks for collecting the information!
