You didn't miss much. ivelegacy basically got in a fight with unix. From what I saw both parties were equally guilty, and they are both on my foes list now. ivelegacy said some impolite things about unix, I guess over some transaction involving hardware (???) then unix threatened basically the EU equivalent of swatting but the mods deleted his post before most people saw it (I took a screenshot but if I shared it again I'm sure my post would be deleted just like it was in august and I would face the same fate as ivelegacy). Ive had also complained about some of the mods here so he got the boot and not unix. And he now has some weird fetish about getting revenge and smearing neko's name and good image all over the place (like anybody who isn't already here really cares...)

uunix is a decent person, I like him personally. But I think like the rest of us he's only human, and sometimes overreacts. On the other hand, Carlo is temperamental, prone to rants in less-than-readable English and generally I don't care for him that much, BUT I allow him on irix.pw as long as he remains benign, because at least there he's got an outlet for his rants (as long as he remains civil) and he's able to sell his stuff off and ask for what he wants that he can't get here. And I think the mods here appreciate that he's not going to bother anyone here anymore. On irix.pw, I can keep him on a leash. On somewhere like reddit, he's out of the hands of everyone here and I think we can safely say that at least he won't be spreading doxx anymore like he was.

I absolutely agree with everything you just said. But it still takes two to tango, as they say.

Carlo's also emailed me a couple times but only to the throwaway address registered here (I switched to google a couple years ago as the spam became overwhelming) "what do you think of..." and "can you believe that..." sort of drivel that is easily ignored.

True. The difference in my mind is that uunix did edit a few of his posts after the red mist faded and accepted he flew off the handle and went OTT. He's also been friendly and polite whenever I've spoken to him.

Carlos though never thinks he's ever done anything wrong at all - even when you point it out and send him direct links to where he's crossed the line at times. I swapped a few e-mails with him and it was like talking to a brick wall. I did honestly feel that he had experienced a bit of a raw deal at times, and sympathised with this. Rather than a "cheers for understanding", he continued to rant, his e-mails quickly became laden with personal insults and profanity, at which point I lost every last shred of sympathy and cut off any further contact.

You're right that it takes two to tango, but how you behave following an argument plays a very large part as well...

I had the same thing happen to me on craigslist, a guy locally trying to sell an Octane 2, I contacted him, asked him for an hinv, he said he'd get it, said wanted "$400 firm," so I wait for the hinv, he never gets it, couple of weeks go by and forgetting he said 400 firm I ask him "so, you wanted 300, right?" He flips out, says it's not for sale anymore "especially not to you!" First of all, no one's ever going to buy it for 400 without at least an hinv, which he never bothered to get, not to mention without photographs. Hope he's enjoying his boat anchor...

Of course Mr. Carlo is continuing to be a douche on my site and a liability. I just gave him a final warning. He will be kicked off if he continues acting like the assclown he's been portrarying himself as.

UPDATE: Carlo has been permanently been removed from irix.pw for his threats to post personal information of me and other users. He has been permanently banned and deleted from the site.

Everyone, if you can help me keep an eye on his reddit account as he threatened to post doxx about users, including myself and the admin of Nekochan.

I didn't see the doxxing threat he made before it was deleted. But I imagine that applies to me as well. I'm not worried about it. Doxxing mitigation is part of standard operating procedures for me, particularly with people I don't know personally. So he won't get too far with that, if decides to do so.

I've had my close shaves with characters like that and I don't take chances with it anymore.

He PM'd it to me. I scrubbed his entire presence from the site because he kept threatening to post a lot of personal information.

The funny thing is that he objected so strongly when I called him out as a hypocrite over this in my e-mail exchanges with him. He acted like the total victim when his e-mail address and name were briefly mentioned here - despite one of his final threats to "post PMs and the full names of those involved". Guess he's shown his true colours again.

Maybe for once instead of blaming everyone else he should look in the mirror and ask why he's picked up numerous bans now...
